Collateral Murder

Atrocities committed by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan have been commonplace, though the American public remains largely unaware. One only need call to mind the massacre at Fallujah; the torture at Abu Ghraib that only became public knowledge by luck of circumstance, or the innocent victims of torture and abuse at Gitmo. Too many Americans allow themselves to be themselves to be misled into thinking such inhumane acts are merely isolated incidents. But the reality is very different.

Now, one of the countless atrocities committed by U.S. soldiers is revealed in a shocking video. The video (linked below) posted by WikiLeaks reveals the apparent cold-blooded attitude of U.S. military personnel as they murder innocent civilians in Iraq...
WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.
